At Greener Vision this Saturday, March 28th

The weather is driving us crazy! It's been so beautiful and warm and now it's supposed to frost again! Well, Heidi and the kids have been dilligently putting row cover back over everything in the field and pulling all the potted seedlings back into the store with heat lamps, so hopefully everything will survive ok.

There are snow peas on the plants! Just a few so far and they're still immature, but by next week we *may* have enough to sell some.

This Saturday we will still only be there officially from 10 - 1. We'd planned to promise to be there all day, but the weather is looking nasty so we might not be able to get much work done. The farmers markets are starting up next week, so *next* week, you can count on Heidi to be out at the store pretty much all day Friday and Saturday. We're hoping to consistently start being open 10-4 both Fridays and Saturdays, for those of you who have been having a hard time making it out when we're there.

For this week (tomorrow, Saturday the 28th) it will again look just like last week:
Fresh lettuce mix - and lots of it
Young spinach
Young swiss chard
Baby beets with big beet greens
Fresh cilantro and dill
Pecans
Honey
Goat milk soap
Salsas and relishes
Farm fresh eggs

Plants for your own garden:
Tomatoes (several varieties)
Peppers - California Wonder Bells
Straight neck yellow squash

I know I've been promising cucumber plants for several weeks now.  Unfortunately, Gene's cucumbers have been having some problems. I think he's got them back on track, so *maybe* we'll have some, but I'm going to quit promising. I guess there aren't many guarantees in small, local production

*Compost* The kids have dilligently bagged up quite a bit of good, aged compost. Eli is selling it to earn money to go to camp this summer, so if you need compost for your garden, be sure to check it out!

See you tomorrow!
