Where is Greener Vision Farms this week?
Well, I sure hope the weather has finally settled down. It looks promising, and Heidi and the kids are planting a lot of seeds this weekend and we'll finally bite the bullet and start putting serious quantities of plants in the ground next weekend. This last frost didn't do too much damage, but it did wilt the edges of the leaves on the peas, which we didn't cover.
Today, Thursday the 9th, Heidi and the kids will be at the Georgetown Farmer's Market. It's really neat down there, so anyone near enough to be able to attend should definitely go, there's something for everyone. The market is not where it was last year, it has been moved to San Gabriel park, which is at the north end of town.
At Georgetown we will have:
Lettuce, Spinach, Eggs, several kinds of Herbs, and Compost
Friday and Saturday the store will be open. Friday is somewhat flexible, but they should be there from 10 - 1 or later. Saturday should be 10 - 4.
At the store we will have the following produce:
Lettuce
Spinach
Swiss Chard
Beets
*Maybe* a few snow peas, first come, first served
We will also have all our herbs ready to cut:
Cilantro
Dill
Rosemary
Thyme
Oregano
Terragon
Sage
Lemon Balm
Additionally, there will be:
Compost
Plants (tomato, pepper, cucumber)
Salsa
Honey
Soap
Pecans
Eggs
AS A SPECIAL FOR EASTER, we have sorted out the Americauna eggs, which are pastel green and blue, into their own cartons, so you can get a whole carton full of beautiful already colored eggs. Put them in a basket on your kitchen counter!
See you soon...
