Greener Vision This Weekend - April 24 - 25 - UPDATED, FRIDAY CANCELED

Well, we've been rather busy lately. Lots and lots of stuff has been planted, last Friday's trip to San Antonio, Fredericksburg, and Llano
was fun.

Tomorrow, Friday, we WILL be at the store. Heidi expects to be available from NOON - 4 PM.
Update - Heidi had to go home with a migraine, so there will be no one at the store today (Friday).  Sorry if this inconveniences anyone.  We should be fine for tomorrow (Saturday).

Saturday, we will have the store open from 10 - 4 PM

Come check out our restocked selection of salsas and relishes, honey and honey spreads (including a limited-time Salt Cedar honey in addition to the regular wildflower).

From our own sustainable fields we will have:

Lettuce (this has been a staple for us this spring, but won't last too much longer unless it cools off)
Spinach
Swiss Chard
Beets

Bok Choi <-- NEW THIS WEEK. Baby thinnings from the bok choi beds.

Conventionally grown here in Texas:

Texas sweet onion
Sweet potatoes
Yellow Squash

Coming soon: Radishes (there were a few this week, but they're gone already at the Georgetown farmer's market).  Maybe, just maybe, the snow peas will have recovered enough to start producing before it gets too hot.

Some of you were fortunate enough to get some of the few peaches we had at the store last Saturday. Those are all gone (or being eaten at our house  Peach season is just barely under way in Texas. Heidi and the kids will likely make the first big peach picking trip in three or four weeks, so be patient.

As for tomatoes, since it is everyone's favorite thing to buy at a produce stand, and since tomato season will not begin in central Texas until the end of May or early June (likely early June with the late frost we had), we will attempt to make trips to San Antonio to get "locally grown" tomatoes (and other stuff) a more regular occurrence for at least the next couple of months until all our summer stuff comes in.  So keep coming out!

See you soon!
