At Greener Vision Farms May 7, 8, and 9

Heidi will be at the farmer's market tomorrow with at least fresh produce from our fields. She may or may not have eggs at the Farmer's Market due to a brand-new-short-notice requirement by the Williamson County Health Department to pay $75 and get a permit.

She'll also be at the store Friday from Noon - 4, and Saturday from 10 - 4.

We went down to San Antonio for a mini-vacation last Saturday evening and Sunday (visited the Alamo, how fitting). We brought back some conventionally-grown fresh Texas produce to meet the needs of those having a hard time waiting until the summer veggies start producing in Central Texas.

We will have the following conventionally grown Texas produce:
Yellow Squash
Zucchini
Patty Pan Squash
Red Potatoes
Texas Sweet Onions
Cucumbers
(kind of a large pickler)
Tomatoes (hothouse grown from Fort Davis, but I will say that they are the best hothouse tomatoes I've had. Seriously. Not as good as from my own field, but better than the top-of-the-line at the supermarket)

From our own fields, sustainably and organically grown:
Lettuce (Maybe. These hot days have pushed the lettuce to seed so we'll see if there's any left that's not bitter)
Spinach
Swiss Chard
Radishes
Onions
(the first of our own crop, small bulbs with greens still attached)
Snow Peas (the wait is most definitely over. We have an *abundance* of them this week. Awesome raw in salads, or stir-fried)
Fresh Herbs (Tarragon, Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme, Chives, Dill, Cilantro, Lemon Balm)

Of course, there will also be Compost, Tomato plants, Salsa, Goat-milk soap, Honey, and Farm Fresh Eggs (unless the Williamson County Health Department decides to invade Kempner).

See you soon!
