Greener Vision Farms for Independence Day Weekend

Due to the holiday weekend and having more family visiting from Oregon, we will *NOT* be going to the Georgetown Farmer's Market tomorrow (Thursday).

The store will be open Friday from Noon - 4 and on Saturday only from 10 - 2  <-- Note short hours Saturday so we can go enjoy the 4th with our family.

Don't let your party happen without good, sweet, cold melons!  And definitely don't do without some sweet squash for the grill!  Just slice it 1/3 of an inch thick and either brush it with melted butter and sprinkle on fajita seasoning (we prefer Bolner's Fiesta brand in the Mexican food isle) *or* marinate it for half an hour in bottled Greek salad dressing.  Then grill until it's soft and a little browned!!

We will have from our field, all sustainably grown using organic
practices, and fresh picked:

Yellow squash
Zucchini
Patty pan squash
Magda squash
Cucumbers
Lianas
- our "yard long" Chinese green beans are doing great!
Herbs - sage, chives, rosemary, thyme, oregano, tarragon, lemon balm
Also, fresh eggs, salsas, honey and spreads.

Conventionally grown, but fresh from Texas:

Watermelon - yellow/orange flesh, really sweet, from south Texas
Canteloupe
Tomatoes - vine ripe
Sweet onions

Happy Independence Day
